The cult of stars and glamour serve as a projection of people’s own dreams. However, these individuals who constantly project a cheerful appearance often hide their inner vulnerability from the world.

Memory Imprint / Whitney Houston is a series of prints about the disconnection between the idealized/idolized individual, their reality, and our projected illusions. The juxtaposition and unpredictability of the printmaking practice generates an image that makes possible an endless play between presence and absence, inscription and erasure, appearance and disappearance.

This series is comprised of multiples in various techniques all printed on Arches Cover White paper.
